Bill is the lead writer for and Inside Texas magazine. A 1984 Bachelor of Journalism graduate of The University of Texas, Frisbie was a senior sports writer for The DailyTexan student newspaper while in college. He was editor of The Longhorn Letter, a former publication of the University of Texas Ex-Students Association and a contributor to The Alcalde alumni magazine. He also served as the City Editor for newspapers in Round Rock and New Braunfels. Frisbie has been with Inside Texas since August, 2002. He has two daughters, Chandler and Darby.

Strong speaks on Bedford, Big 12 play, and getting better

AUSTIN — One way to tell if there will be personnel changes in the Longhorn lineup, apparently, is when Texas does not release a Depth Chart.

For the second time this season, Charlie Strong did not provide a 2-deep during his weekly Monday press conference. At the same time, he continued to stress the need to get the “right personnel” on the field to cement a porous defense.

Vance Bedford Variety Hour – Coming for Cal

AUSTIN — Up next for Vance Bedford’s defense is a California team that boasts the nation’s No. 2 passing offense but does little else well. Should we expect more of the 3-3-5 that Bedford unveiled against UTEP? And who gets the start at SS?

It’s a misnomer to label the alignment as a three-man front, however.

Texas’ 50-47 knockout of Notre Dame in double-overtime was like a “15-round heavyweight fight”, Charlie Strong surmised on the morning after. The one-two punch of quarterbacks Shane Buechele and Tyrone Swoopes gives Strong what should be a tide-turning, signature win in his third season on the 40 Acres.
