Jacquez gets the start this evening. Not sure who Prairie View will be starting.

• Texas is 8-1 in midweek games this season. The pitching staff has been dominant, holding opponents to a .169 batting average on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The staff has a 1.29 ERA and has held foe to 12 earned runs on 50 hits and 22 walks while striking out 84 over 84.0 innings.

• The Longhorns are 26-0 when leading after six innings, 19-0 when leading after seven innings and 20-0 and when leading after eight innings.

• The only three players to start all 41 games for the Longhorns this season are all sophomores. Jacob Felts has started 41 games behind the plate, Mark Payton has started 41 games in rightfield and Erich Weiss has started 41 games at third base.

So Ricky is back from suspension? But not back as weekend starter yet....this is probably as much to get him back into the mix since he hasn't pitched in games for a couple weeks...

Couple of notes from the game;

Austin Dicharry got his 1st win since that game back in May 30/31 as he threw the final 5 and 2/3 innings in the regional game back in 2009.

Also, Taylor Stell will be out for 3 weeks as he surgery today on his knee to repair his meniscus.
