A couple forum suggestions
I know you guys are getting the major things working(premium access, etc.), but I have 2 I'd like to request:
1) Turn off the requirement of hitting 'quick reply' to use the quick reply box at the bottom.
2) Turn off the requirement for any post to be at least 10 characters.
btw if you need any help with the boards, I have pretty good experience with vBulletin. I'd be happy to help out as much as possible.

I don't like the ten character rule either. I'm not always clever enough or smart enough to come up with that many characters.

Good thing its not 10 characters that form actual words in the English language, or NTH would never survive the transition....

Thanks, Hookem! Keep the suggestions coming. We may not get to 'em for a little while, but we appreciate them none the less.

So what happens to all the old threads from scout.com? They stay there? How will we be able to go back and quote schmucks on things they said before the season?!?

Due to the proprietary nature of Scout's setup, they won't be imported (I already asked this question).

I would sure like to see some of the old "smileys" we had. Particularly the bug eyed dude, the blah blah guy, and the one shamefully shaking his head. OR, if we can develop our own in this format, it would be cool if there was a way to upload them for everyone's use.

...and the rolling smiley face. In general the icons need major upgrading.

it IS possible to go fetch the old ones:
....just not super-easy, is all.
doesn't look like there's the drag-and-drop-an-image function here. or maybe there is and i just haven't figured it out yet. 77 will probably know. i got the above by using the "insert image" function here and putting in the URL for the old tongue-out smiley (which is fetchable from ye olde now-evil site).

It's not terribly difficult to upload more, but only an admin w/ ftp access can do it.
