The smallest enrollment football school in FBS had the temerity to adorn a traumatic weather event with a glitzy color and then make it singular. It’s not the Hurricanes. It’s Hurricane. Just one Hurricane, thank you.
For that pretentious reason alone, we’ve never scheduled them in football. This is a first meeting between the two programs.
Tulsa is as unpredictable as their mascot, boasting the following records over the last six years: 11-3, 3-9, 2-10, 6-7, 10-3, 2-10. Head coach Philip Montgomery is responsible for the last three years and you can bet that a 2-10 record last year was a sobering event after a giddy 10-3 mark in his 2nd year behind AAC legend QB Dane Evans. When Dane left with a bunch of seniors, Tulsa’s winning ways did too. Based on their history, this ball club will win somewhere between 2 to 10 games this year.
