The last two Longhorn recruiting classes are long on numbers but I’m not optimistic the staff will find difference makers beyond John Burt and Collin Johnson. That doesn’t mean Texas won’t extract production from the likes of Davion Curtis, Ryan Newsome, et al, but this offense really goes when you have dynamic playmakers who can stretch the field.
Well hello there, Damion Miller. Miller is exactly the kind of player that takes this offense from ‘hard to defend’ to ‘damn near impossible’.
There are others in this class who are right there with him. By no means has the best wide receiver prospect been decided.
Numbers in the class should range from 3-4, depending on attrition. I’m thinking the class finishes at four based on current personnel and overall talent level within the cycle. It’s a very deep class so targeting the correct guys will be key.
