The 0-1 Horned Frogs lost a close game to Iowa State last Saturday, 37-34, putting up 27 points in the second half in what began as a defensive contest. They’ll be looking to get right against an opponent that head coach Gary Patterson and the TCU fanbase thoroughly enjoy beating.
The Horned Frogs have won 6 of the last 8 against Texas and 5 of the last 6, despite Patterson and the Frogs putting up a 18-18 record in Big 12 play over the last four years and finishing with a losing record in the conference in 3 of the last 4 seasons. Hard truth: even in times of strife, Gary Patterson has consistently owned Texas. Texas has also consistently lost the battle of turnovers, penalties, preparation, and in-game adjustments against the Toads and that needs to change for Texas to get a positive result in Austin.
