In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’re going to go with an abbreviated version since we’re on to the open practice start of Spring and we’ve basically broken open the depth chart news on both sides of the ball in the previous two weeks. The cigar gives us his thoughts on certain position …
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’re going with a bit of an abbreviated version. Last week we hit you with the offensive depth chart and this week we’ll complete the cycle by giving you the defensive depth chart from staff sources. We’ve also got some injury news and we’ll put a bow on it with a basketball cigar’s take on the win versus the Sooners. It was Smart, pardon the pun, but that’s how we roll inside the Humidor.
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’ve got more depth chart news that you won’t want to miss. In other news, there’s not much on the workout front as the coaches gave the kids a bit of a respite this last week. Finally, the Cigar talks “a little” about the subpoena issued this weekend regarding Coach Strong. We’ll tell you as much as we possibly can as per usual inside the Humidor.
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’re going to change the format up a bit considering the only real information comes from the team and current winter workouts. We’ll talk about lifts and running and what-not but the real treat is the current depth chart which the kids are acutely aware of. We've got a coaching nugget and also hope to have a projected August depth chart by folks that know, but as of this writing, that information is not forthcoming
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’ll take reader questions for the Big Cigar as we get into the meat of winter workouts. We received a lot of great questions but with so many submissions, we could only answer a portion of the questions. If your question didn’t get answered, in the vast majority of the cases it wasn’t because we don’t like you, it’s just because there was no real good answer at the time or there simply wasn’t enough room, inside the Humidor.
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor we’ve got some information on team workouts and if you are paying close attention, it provides a window to which players the coaches consider to be leaders on this football team. The Cigar also has some information on the growing quarterback debate…is it Shea Morenz? James Brown? Or someone else no one has ever heard of, like say, Major Applewhite?
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor the Big Cigar we will look at several factors that come into play for the 2016 version of the Texas Longhorns and indirectly Charlie Strong’s tenure. El Cohiba Grande has ground level intel about how the big recruiting weekend went, which should speak well of the program going forward. The Cigar also gets into team workouts which have begun in earnest earlier this week.
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor the Big Cigar we’ve got a little bit of team news that builds on to what we’ve hinted at in the mini-Humidor last week. Tommie Robinson has left his post and new offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert has some replacement names he’d like to pursue to help implement his offense.
I know some of the questions in the Humidor Q&A involved position coaching changes so luckily I was able to circle back with the Big Cigar this morning and get some news on that. It may not be what most want to hear but I think it further illustrates the dysfunction with this program and the direction it wants to go.
In this edition of Mondays in the Humidor the Big Cigar the information is pretty evenly split between recruiting information and winds blowing in the athletic department. The Cigar discusses the likelihood of closing with a strong class on one hand, but cautions against optimism at the team level because of rumors of unrest should the Strong regime stumble out of the blocks in 2016.
