Chris Beard and staff received more great news with the announcement by junior guard Courtney Ramey that he is returning to Texas for his senior season.
Ramey will go through the NBA Draft process but maintain his eligibility.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard has played in 94 games in three seasons, including 74 starts. Ramey is coming off a junior campaign in which he averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists. In three seasons, Ramey has connected on 145 three-pointers at a clip of 37.0%.
Ramey has steadily improved from the free throw line in each of his three seasons for the Longhorns. After shooting 58.8% as a freshman and 70.9% as a sophomore, Ramey was clutch as a junior hitting 83.1% from the foul line.
Ramey will take the court as a senior with career averages of 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
