Senior offensive lineman Denzel Okafor has withdrawn his name from the NCAA Transfer Portal, sources tell Inside Texas. Anwar Richardson first reported the news.
Okafor entered the portal on March 25. When in the portal, an athlete’s status is one of three things: active, matriculated, withdrawn. Active means the athlete is still in the portal and weighing options. Matriculated means the athlete has moved on to another school. Withdrawn means he is no longer officially considering transfer.
Okafor’s status reads as “withdrawn” as of this morning. He is the second Longhorn this spring to have entered and withdrawn his name from the portal, along with linebacker Juwan Mitchell.
Originally from Lewisville, Okafor has appeared in 39 games during his Texas career and started five.
