The consensus of the pundits is that Beto hurt himself last night, and Castro was the biggest winner.

My thought is that with everyone else trying to out-liberal each other, all Joe has to do is just hold a steady course, and not make stupid mistakes.

My other thought is that apparently Donald Trump is paying a bunch of these people to throw the election to him. Good Lord people. The pubs couldn’t have done a better job painting the Democrats are a bunch of far left loonies if they had just run a commercial themselves.
You are the kiss of death JG. Just a couple hours after you say that Biden has it in the bag he goes on stage and shytes his pants.

Man, he was terrible. I guess that was no surprise.

He had no real answer for Kamala's angry black woman routine. That approach put him in a box of how to respond. Not that it would matter, because it will always result in the same old, "sexist, misogynist, racist" routine from the left. No way for him to win.

Or refute it.
If she were to get the nomination, when she loses the general to Trump, it will be the new MSM talking point. America isn't ready for the angry black woman + Trumps racist, sexist voters came out in droves to make sure he wins.

Beto has been prepped for this all his entire life, the only problem he doesn't have the mental skills or political instincts to compete on the big stage. This is a guy who believes his PR and isn't self-aware enough to realize he is an idiot.
Another bit of proof:
Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke: Migrants “have no choice but to come here” because of U.S. climate change “excesses”

I said all he is to do is not make stupid mistakes. How could you NOT be ready for that from Harris??

So, it looks like the general election will come down to a socialist vs. a capitalist. Everything free vs. you have to earn it. How is your 20 year old kid going to vote?

I’ve said it multiple times. If the democrats were smart they would hitch their wagon to Yang and go with it.
I don’t know if he can really hack the politics part of the job. It’s easy to have good ideas. Hard to implement and convince others of them.

Trump won in landslide against Clinton. When you get to near a 80 EV difference considering every Dem candidate gets 84 for writing their name, it's an ass kicking. It will likely be the same in 2020.

He won in a landslide in a election where the other candidate got three million MORE votes?

@TexasPalladin, I wouldn't "like" or "laugh" at a poster who called you names, including obnoxious or simple. Friends don't act like that.
What I like/dislike is not really ever going to be decipherable or "Acceptable" to anyone but myself John.
If someone says something that you either agree with or humors you to me?
Please feel welcome to act on it...I honestly would not take it personally, now would it change my personal opinion of you.
So please feel free to do the same if something agrees with you.
I tend to avoid 99% of "Liking" posts that are personal attacks designed solely for the purpose of hurting someone.
But every so often something catches me right and I will "Like" it.
In this case it was a sarcastic shot at you by one of your many admirers here that was executed with perfect timing.
I don't agree with the personal attacks and constantly tell everyone to speak to each other as if they are sitting across the table from each other......and I practice that.
Y
FTR....I am one of the few guys on here (Conservative/Independent) who honestly likes you John.....and you even bring out the worst in me at times. That doesn't take away my friendship and respect for you.
But you also know me well enough to know that I will always be completely candid and honest with anyone....but especially people I call friends. It is both a matter of honor and respect for me.

Hope this clarifies.

I said all he is to do is not make stupid mistakes. How could you NOT be ready for that from Harris??
Her strategy might backfire.

“She played low ball, which was out of character. And he didn’t expect it, nor did I,” said Lee White, a Biden supporter who attended his remarks at the Jesse Jackson Rainbow PUSH Coalition. “She should not have gone that route. She’s much too intelligent, she’s been able to be successful thus far, why do you have to do that.”

One major Biden supporter from California who declined to be named for publication said Harris’ direct attack on Biden was a mistake that would haunt her.

“It’s going to bite her in the ass,” the supporter noted. “Very early on there was buzz … Biden-Kamala is the dream ticket, the best of both worlds.’’

After this week, “That **** ain’t happening.”

The criticism of Harris over her rough treatment of Biden is among the first signs of backlash — including in her home state — against the California Democrat who had a breakout moment in the first presidential debate. It’s also a sign of the goodwill and loyalty that many still feel toward that the vice president, who has managed to keep many of his backers in his camp, even amid criticism of what was roundly viewed as a subpar debate performance. Indeed, sources say Biden walked away with a $1 million haul after two fundraisers in San Francisco alone this weekend.

1. No it's not.

2. She slept her way to success. She can't bang every voting citizen to become President.

Jeh Johnson's thoughts on the answers to the immigration question posed to the candidates. Amazing this guy from the last admin gets it but the people of his party don't.

One thing is for sure. The Dem dream ticket of Biden-Harris is dead and buried. Thanks Kam.

I'm obviously not a Dem, but Kam did you guys a favor by taking out Biden this early in the process. The last two elections have been decided by African American turnout. The Pubs won the white vote by about 20% in both 2012 and 2016. The reason the Dems won in 2012 and lost in 2016 was because African American turnout fell from 13% to 10%. Biden is not the guy you want at the top of your ticket to get African Americans to the polls in 2020.
