I watched about two thirds of the debate and read reports of it today.
My take away from the thing is:

1. Anything you can imagine Warren has a plan for it. That plan usually involves more money than the U S GNP.
2. Anything you can imagine the Irishman from El Paso has a ban for it. He is not really running for President but trying to get hired by MSNBC. He has become a cross of Kinky Friedman and Karl Marx.
3. Bernie looked like he just crawled out of a garbage can but he “wrote the damn bill”. His plan would cost $30 trillion but who is counting?
4. Senator K from Minnesota “read the damn bill” and knows it won’t work. But Dems don’t want to hear from someone grounded in facts.
5. Kampala can’t defend her record but hates Trump and Fox News.
6. Booker continues to try and paint himself as an impoverished child of the ghetto despite being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I suppose to get to the head of the line when reparations are passed out.
7. The SA twin hates what the Obama administration did and it was all Biden’s fault. Of course he was part of it.
8. Joe forgets a lot but does understand you have to win an election to beat Trump.

Politically, maybe. Intellectually more like a cross between Homer Simpson and Joey Tribbiani.

It’s interesting.how many conservatives watched this thing.

I didn’t and don’t know any Dems that did. It’s funny.

Hardly. Although I fully expected that answer.
Of course it is.

Both sides pander to the extremes of the base. Then we are left with bad choices in the general.

That’s how we got the choices we did, and why it will be that way going forward.

Amy Klobuchar seems to come up with my friends who are going to vote Dem, but even though they like her a lot they don't think she has a prayer of getting the nomination.

He said he's going to alternate his Trump flag with his Texas flag - a week at a time.

Question for JG - how far away from a house fire does a nearby property with fiber cement siding have to be to avoid damage? Asking for a friend.
He'll work on the mechatians of this and get back to you with some inciteful thoughts.

I noticed this as I went out to pick up my morning newspaper.

Yep ... my neighbor has brass balls ... draco dormiens nunquam titillandus.

At least he has stuff covered with a tarp, though it won't stop fire. What's the deal with that garage door in the background. Up a crack or just f'd up?

Why? I mean, why does she come up?
They are uncomfortable with Uncle Joe and his memory lapses.
They believe Bernie is a socialist who will ruin the country
They believe Warren is a nutcase who grabs onto every crazy idea out there. They don't trust her at all.
They can't get behind any politician from California ...Harris
They can't buy a gay president...Mayor Pete
They think Beto is a fruitcake and only voted for him because they hated Ted Cruz, but they are done with him
They just think Klobuchar is a solid candidate who is from the Midwest and reflects more of their values, but she's not getting any traction as Warren and Biden are sucking the air out of the room. They keep going back to she's the only one who hasn't ( in their opinion) embarrassed themselves in the campaign ..the only negative they seem to find in her is that she was mean to her staff, reportedly.

Not worried about fire damaging his stuff.

What's funny about it? My wife used to be upset about him keeping his boat in the driveway. :D

Garage door is just cracked open ... HOA is very vigilant.

Still trying to figure why the age narrative is applied to Joe...And not to Bernie, who is actually older. Or to Warren who is only five years younger. Or for that matter to Donald Trump was only 3 1/2 years younger.

Ain’t none of these people young.

Because Biden keeps saying crazy **** that is completely out of touch with reality. He doesn’t seem to know the state he is in, has no clue about basic population numbers, conflates intelligence as poor vs white, says something, then contradicts what he said within minutes, etc. Could probably type 2 pages of **** from just the past year.

Those other nut jobs seem to at least know the basics(general population, immediate location, intelligence has nothing to do with poor vs white, etc) and are consistent on the crazy **** they say from minute to minute. Not all minds deteriorate at the same rate.

Tell all your Democratic friends to get behind Biden or get ready for more Trump. I’m confident we can survive four years of him. Eight I’m not so sure about. That’s all this election is about so get in line.

Well the GOP put up Romney who was centrist, temperate and reasonable....and he was completely unfairly treated by the left and the media. So then we got the backlash from the GOP in 2016. Bush was pretty moderate. Bill and George HW too. So really we're kind of in new territory here.

They can't buy a gay president...Mayor Pete
Good feedback from your friends. I'm not sure on this one, though. If Buttigieg isn't the nominee, I don't think his sexuality will be the issue.
