Greg Kelley, a former Leander High School football player and subject of Showtime's Outcry, has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, a source tells Inside Texas.

The news was first reported by RivalsPortal.

Kelley was convicted of aggravated sexual assault against a child in 2014. In 2019, Kelley's conviction and 25-year sentence was overturned by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

Before his conviction, Kelley was a two-star safety prospect from Leander with offers from Rice, Texas State, and UTSA per 247Sports. Texas head coach Tom Herman was asked about Kelley earlier in the summer but said he knew little about the story.

Kelley earned admission to UT and had a walk-on tryout for the football team according to KVUE, but is not listed on the Texas roster. In entering the Portal, Kelley can now talk to more schools and find a place that will offer him an opportunity to play.

I believe Kelley was a UTSA commit at the time of his arrest in 2013. Eastern Michigan's defensive coordinator, Neal Neathery, was UTSA's defensive coordinator at the time Kelley was a recruit.
