While the season has gone poorly and goals that were achievable in September cannot be met, the team is afforded at least one opportunity to save face, at least to some degree.
The truth is 9-1 Baylor is what Texas should have been this year. Matt Rhule has orchestrated a very quick turnaround in just three years. As a coach, I’m not sure that he and Herman have vastly different philosophies, but Rhule has been able to elevate his talent. Said one source, “the surprising thing is they may be the most physical team in the conference.” They are fully bought in.
It’ll be a tough test but I was pleased to hear the team has put last week’s loss to Iowa State behind it.
