When a new head coach arrives at a school, most if not all position battles become wide open. The phrase gets thrown around a lot but “clean slate” typically holds true.
It holds true at some positions more than others. At quarterback, Texas has to replace a four-year starter. Conversely, at running back, Bijan Robinson seems primed to take most of the carries, splitting some with Roschon Johnson.
At receiver, it’s a mix of both.
