Texas added a much needed piece to its defensive line puzzle on Monday with the pledge from massive 4-star defensive tackle, Du'vonta Lampkin.

Recruiting momentum; can you feel it?

Texas needed interior defenders. So Charlie Strong went to Houston and grabbed a big one.

2015 4-star Du'vonta Lampkin committed to Texas today. He chose UT over Oklahoma and LSU. Lampkin also held offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, and Baylor.

The 6-foot-4, 310-lb defensive tackle from Cypress Falls (Houston) is a load in the middle. He decommitted from OU back on April 29th and Texas almost instantly jumped back into the mix.

Lampkin is the 14th commitment for UT's Class of 2015 and the second D-lineman in the class joining Rowlett DE, Charles Omenihu.

"I felt more love during this visit over any other," Lampkin told IT before the Under the Lights camp at DKR on July 18th.

Now he can feel the love from Longhorn nation.

Lampkin is the 4th UT pledge in less than two weeks. He joins Many (LA) OT Garrett Thomas, Burton (TX) ATH Louis Brown, and Tallahassee (FL) WR John Burt as the most recent commits.
