Texas added another transfer to its defensive line on Tuesday when Notre Dame junior Ovie Oghoufo announced his commitment to Texas

Oghoufo recorded 13 tackles during the 2020 season across 10 games, including 2.5 sacks. He saw action in nine games during the 2019 season, recording 2.5 sacks.

Originally from Harrison High School in Lathrup Village, Mich., Oghoufo was a three-star prospect in the 2018 class. He committed to Notre Dame over offers from Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan, and Michigan State.

Oghoufo originally appeared in the transfer portal on January 5 as a graduate transfer. He joins Ray Thornton (LSU) and Darion Dunn (McNeese State) as part of Texas’ 2021 transfer class.
