Poll Report: Back in the Top 10

The Longhorns moved up one spot in each the AP and Coaches Polls on Tuesday and are now ranked in the top ten in each.
Texas now sits at No. 9 in the Coaches and No. 10 in the AP.

There was plenty of movement in the polls as teams hit the field for the first time this season. USC befitted from its 52-7 stomping of Virginia and moved up to take the top spot in both polls. The biggest jump was made by Alabama, who went from No. 24 in the AP and unranked in the Coaches to No. 13 in the AP and No. 17 in the Coaches.

The top five in each poll are the same, with USC being followed by Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida. Alongside the Sooners, the Missouri Tigers are the other Big 12 team to be ranked in front of the Horns, coming in at No. 6 in the AP and No. 7 in the Coaches.

Two other Big 12 teams also remain in the Top 25, with Texas Tech at No. 12 in the AP and No. 13 in the Coaches and Kansas at No. 14 in the AP and No. 12 in the Coaches.
