The 2021 NFL Draft is in the books with 33 players that played their senior season in the state of Texas drafted.

Add in Kellen Mond who transferred to IMG Academy after originally attending San Antonio Reagan, and there were 34 Texas high school football players drafted the last three days.

We have been talking at length about the 2022 class in Texas being a special one, and there is a good chance that it could end up measured up against the 2017 class. There were 18 prospects from the 2017 class drafted the last three days, and that is after eight from the class were drafted a year ago.

And for those of you who like the Houston vs. D/FW talent battles and discussions … D/FW had 14 prospects drafted to 10 for the Houston area.
