AUSTIN -- When it boiled down to accepting a scholarship from a Division I program or playing for his dream school, Luke Brockermeyer knew what he wanted to do. Today, he committed to Texas. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker from Fort Worth All Saints chose UT, the school where his father Blake was an All American offensive lineman and NFL veteran, over offers from Oregon State and Rice. Luke will enroll as a preferred walk-on in Austin.
Three more days and UT puts a bow on a spectacular 2018 class. Final percentages on the remaining unsigned targets, notes/quotes from visitors this weekend including two elites, and the Way Too Early look at how Texas looks with the 2019 targets and prospects. Post-Super Bowl Scoop for those that skipped work today.
Coming off a fairly solid recruiting weekend for the Longhorns, Tom Herman and his staff made a few moves, hosted a handful of targets, extended a handful of offers, and continue to build on the Class of 2018, while looking ahead to 2019. The Scoop gets you caught up.
