Texas landing Jefferson stirred up the pursuit of Aggie commits/leans, Kyler Murray, Daylon Mack and DaMarkus Lodge. How those recruitments play out will reverberate well into the class of 2016.

Now we're getting in some high cotton. These guys are expected to be multi-year starters if not outright studs. That won't always occur for various reasons, but talent shouldn't be a limiting factor. Each player has at least one defining trait which should smooth the transition from high school to college.
Being a former Longhorn player is very low on the list of reasons why a coach should be hired to return to his alma mater. I've actually seen the suggestion of Vince Young as quarterbacks coach on this here internet. Even for one of the greatest Longhorn heroes ever, that should count for next to nothing. Rising through the coaching ranks, much like playing time, should be a meritocracy.
