Among the craziness of yesterday's whirlwind day, I was able to catch up with a handful of Texas' C/O 2021 signees on the big news. Some quick notes and quotes from the 2021 squad.
Eighteen 2021 commits plan to put pen to paper today to officially join the Texas Longhorns football program, and more could possibly join the #trUTh21 class.
That isn’t to say this predicted class finish is likely, but I think it’s at least worth entertaining. I’m more confident in some recruitments than others.
Jay Boulware had Everman's Juan Davis committed but was searching for another tight end to add to the 2021 class. His search ended in Colorado. Gunnar Helm from Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, CO committed to the Longhorns, choosing Texas over 27 other offers including Alabama, Colorado, Iowa State, LSU, Georgia, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Washington.
Let’s take a closer look at the discrepancy between the defensive side of the ball that just overhauled everyone but Oscar Giles, and Tom Herman’s side of the ball that should be benefiting from more consistency and the addition of a reputation, high octane offense.
