The 2018 Preview Magazine is here. It includes a Q&A with Tom Herman from Justin Wells, profiles of Kris Boyd and Patrick Vahe by Mike Blackwell, Joe Cook's summary of Herman's offensive principles, Scipio Tex' analysis on the 2018 Texas defense, Eric Nahlin's position-by-position team preview, and Ian Boyd's look at the schedule.
Cloudy skies yet again, but a slight breeze and slightly cooler temperatures made for the most enjoyable weather of the weekend. Sunday was the first of the three days that the team put pads on. There were no offensive or defensive team drills today, so there was no way to tell if things had changed in terms of depths. But a few stood out. Check out Sunday's practice report.
It was a gorgeous first day of practice at the Denius practice fields where the 85-degree temperature started out the day, but steadily rose throughout it. There was not a cloud in the sky.
Our latest edition of the Inside Texas Magazine goes all through Spring ball with practice summaries, Orange-White notes, and Eric's Then and Now series. Tremendous work by Will Gallagher and the IT staff.
This year's Opening Regional for DFW is being held at the Star complex in Frisco, where the Dallas Cowboys workout. Indoors....I can dig it. There are a handful of Texas targets and ones to watch on hand. Here's who we'll be tracking.
Spent a good half hour listening to Justin/Ian podcast and enjoyed their respective takes on the first installment of the Herman takeover at UT. They shared several opinions concerning various subjects in recruiting and possible defensive decisions/player positions. It was entertaining and definitely provided food for thought so here I am pitching a few of my own questions/remarks that intrigue my own sweet self.
This month's IT Magazine wraps up the highs and lows of 2016. More importantly, we meet new coach Tom Herman, go in-depth on the 10 most important players in the Texas program, and game-by-game thoughts on UT Basketball in 2016-17. Another superb job and special work by our Will Gallagher. Read it.
