I might be settling into a groove, but there is no time to rest on my laurels.

There are games to be won.

Stanford +1 at USC

Despite injuries on both sides, losing your QB is one that’s difficult to overcome. Stanford is still a good team, and USC is still a team led by Clay Helton. I think cracks start to show in Troy in this game.

Boise St. -11 vs. Marshall

Boise St. rode championship hydration (and a suffocating second half) to a win over Florida State in Tallahassee. The Thundering Herd might honestly be better coached than FSU, but they aren’t near as talented and they have to go to the blue turf.

Ohio State -16.5 vs. Cincinnati

Cincy isn’t a bad team, but they aren’t going against UCLA this week. Ryan Day flexes in a game many will say proves he was the right choice over Luke Fickell.

Colorado +3.5 vs. Nebraska

A good ol’ Big 8 matchup. I was already a little skeptical of Nebraska this season, and after putting in a forgettable performance against South Alabama, I can see the Buffs making this one difficult on the Huskers in Boulder.

Baylor -26.5 vs. UTSA

I know an upset occurred two years ago, but that was a Baylor program in a much different state. Matt Rhule has made Baylor into a program that should be able to handle a lower-level G5 school with ease.

Kansas -8 vs. Coastal Carolina

Odd line, and I did watch KU play Indiana State. It wasn’t terribly impressive. However, I think KU can get this one and Pooka Williams should be back.

UNT +3.5 at SMU

SMU did not perform well at Arkansas State, while UNT handled ACU. This isn’t too far of a trip for UNT, and the Mustang crowd doesn’t provide a homefield advantage.

Louisiana-Lafayette -13 vs. Liberty

Miami -5 at UNC

Mack Brown’s Mission to Defeat Former DCs will end up 1-1, which might be one more win than most were expecting.

Fresno St +3 vs. Minnesota

The boat did not look well-rowed this past weekend, and Fresno just covered against USC. They’ll do it again at home.
