Texas’ 2021 baseball schedule revealed

It’s finally here!

The 2021 schedule for the No. 9 (D1baseball.com) Texas Longhorns was released today. The Longhorns will play 34 games at home and 18 games against preseason ranked teams.

The Longhorns open the season at Globe Life Field in Arlington for the State Farm College Baseball Showdown. Texas will begin its 2021 campaign at 11 a.m. on Friday February 19 versus Mississippi State. UT will play former SWC rival Arkansas at 7 p.m. Saturday, then play Ole Miss at 3 p.m. Sunday.

UT’s home opener is a four-game series versus BYU beginning Wednesday February 24.

Notable road trips include a March 5-7 series at Houston, a March 30 game at Texas A&M, and two trips to San Marcos to face Texas State.

In a rematch of the 2002 College World Series Final, the Longhorns will host South Carolina on March 12-14.

Head coach David Pierce enters his fifth season in Austin, with one College World Series appearance as head coach at UT.
