Friday was a Texas Two-Step for UT recruiting.

After Hallettsville’s Jonathon Brooks committed to the Longhorns today, New Orleans (LA) Warren Easton WR Casey Cain joined Texas’ 2021 class.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound three-star wide receiver from holds 13 offers including Memphis, UH, and Louisiana Tech. Cain is a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track and field, competing in the 200m, 110h, 300h, and triple jump.

Evaluation: Hudl/highlights

He plays big for 6-foot-2, with great hands and feet. He’s not a speedster, but he gets open. He’s good in the red zone with a nice wingspan and high-point ability. He ran a 4.7 40-yard dash at The Opening over a year ago, but you can see his stride and glide. He plays pretty smooth and could potentially be a contributor down the road. – Justin Wells

Cain is the 11th member of Texas 2021 class joining Jonathon Brooks (Hallettsville), Morice Blackwell (Arlington Martin), Jordon Thomas (Port Arthur Memorial), Landen King (Humble Atascocita), Ja’Tavion Sanders (Denton Ryan), Derrick Harris Jr. (New Caney), Billy Bowman Jr. (Denton Ryan), Juan Davis (Everman), Hayden Conner (Katy Taylor), Jalen Milroe (Katy Tompkins).
