LAKE TRAVIS — Garrett Wilson is still getting used to this recruiting thing.

The multi-sport junior athlete from Lake Travis high school knew he had elite skills on the hardwood, but it was getting that much-needed self-confidence that he could produce on the gridiron that was lacking before last year.

The 6-foot-0, 180-pounder first burst on the scene in football as one of the top playmakers on the Cavaliers’ 6A DI State Championship last winter. He’d already made a name for himself in hoops, and now adding football to his resume almost ensures his college experience will be on an athletic scholarship.
