Since the Texas Tech loss, the UT staff has been busy hitting the recruiting trail and preparing the team for the Texas Bowl.

Herman has been busy evaluating the program and also re-interviewing his entire staff. It’s not unusual for a head coach to do performance reviews, but that’s normally after the season, not in mid-December. The timing is peculiar given all Texas has on its plate, including trying to gather as many signatures as it can before NSD1.

Attrition remains a modest point of interest. We’ve heard of now new names to worry about, at least that we can go public with, but we’ll pass along what we’ve heard regarding some players from the past season who are electing to leave.
