Trajectory is a function of space and time. Position and momentum.
We can all see the first plot point on a blank slate and pretend we know the ensuing direction and velocity, but absent more plot points over time, it’s just guesswork, replete with bias, assumption and a lot of self-delusion.
Athletic trajectory is no different. It’s a plot point of performance and potential. One does their best to determine momentum as more data points are charted on the x and y axis.
